Structural Repair On Location
Cracked booms, torn bucket lips, worn cutting edges and broken brackets don’t usually stop a machine outright. They just get worse every shift until something fails in a way that’s dangerous, expensive, or both.
We bring welding and fabrication to your jobsite anywhere in Nevada, including structural repair on booms, sticks, frames, buckets and attachments.
What Is Included
Welding on a load-bearing structure isn’t the same as welding a bracket. Preparation, preheat, correct filler and proper sequencing decide whether a boom repair lasts years or cracks again next month. We do it the slow way because the fast way comes back.
What Goes Wrong
Steel fails where stress concentrates, and on heavy equipment that means a predictable set of locations. Catching a crack early is the difference between an afternoon of welding and a replacement boom.
Know The Warning Signs
Structural failures give warning, usually in the form of a hairline crack somebody noticed months earlier and didn’t act on. Catching them early is the difference between an afternoon of welding and a scrapped boom.
Why On-Site
Not every requirement comes off a shelf. Custom brackets, guarding, attachment adapters, coupler changes and one-off fixtures get fabricated on-site to suit the machine and the work you’re actually doing.
Working in the field means we can measure, fit and adjust on the machine rather than building to a drawing and hoping. For anything that has to mate to an existing structure, that’s the difference between a part that fits and a part that nearly fits.
Transparent Pricing
Structural work is priced by preparation and complexity far more than by weld length. Here’s what actually determines the job.
Where We Do This Work
Welding and fabrication happen at your site throughout the Las Vegas valley including Henderson, North Las Vegas, Summerlin, Enterprise and Boulder City, plus Pahrump.
Coverage extends to Reno, Carson City, Fallon and Yerington, and across the interior to Elko, Winnemucca, Battle Mountain and Tonopah. Structural repair on-site avoids transporting a compromised machine, which matters, because a cracked boom isn’t something you want on a lowboy any more than in service.
Yes, and it’s routine work. Structural repair on booms and sticks requires proper crack excavation, preparation, preheat where the material calls for it and correct welding sequence. All of that’s achievable on-site with the right equipment, which our trucks carry.
Most cracks are repairable if caught before they propagate through a major section. We assess the extent first and give you an honest answer. If a structure is beyond safe repair we’ll tell you rather than taking your money for a weld that won’t hold.
Yes. Hardfacing high-wear surfaces on buckets, cutting edges, augers and mixing equipment really extends service life in abrasive material, which describes most of Nevada.
Yes. Custom brackets, guards, adapters and mounts get built to suit your machine and your application. Working on-site means we fit and adjust against the actual machine instead of a drawing.
A properly prepared and executed repair restores the structure to serviceable strength, and in some cases the repaired section ends up stronger than the surrounding material. The critical word is properly. Preparation and procedure are what determine the outcome, not the welder alone.
Usually, and it’s dramatically cheaper. Cutting edges, side cutters, wear plates and even torn lips are all rebuildable while the base structure remains sound. We’ll tell you when a bucket has reached the point where replacement is the better spend.
Structural work is performed to appropriate procedure for the material and application. For work requiring formal certification or third-party inspection, tell us up front and we’ll confirm what we can and can’t sign off before starting.
