Compliance at Your Yard

Mobile DOT Inspections in Las Vegas

An annual DOT inspection isn’t optional and an out-of-service violation at a roadside stop costs far more than the inspection ever would. The awkward part is that getting trucks to an inspection station means taking them out of production, usually on the day you need them.

We perform annual DOT inspections at your yard across Nevada, on trucks and trailers, so compliance stops competing with your schedule.

What Is Included

Full Annual Inspection On Location

We inspect to the federal annual inspection standard and give you the documentation for your file. Where something fails, we can usually repair it on the same visit rather than sending you away with a list.

What Goes Wrong

What Fails Inspections Most

The same items account for most out-of-service violations year after year, and nearly all of them are cheap to catch in advance and expensive to be caught with.

Brake Adjustment & Air Leaks

The most common out-of-service category by a wide margin. Pushrod travel out of spec and audible leaks are quick to find and quick to correct before an inspection.

Lighting & Reflectors

Unglamorous, extremely common, and entirely preventable. A single inoperative required lamp is enough to put a unit out of service at the roadside.

Tires & Wheels

Tread depth, sidewall damage, mismatched duals and loose or missing fasteners. Also one of the more dangerous failure categories on this list.

Coupling & Suspension

Fifth wheel wear, damaged mounts and broken suspension components. On mixed equipment fleets these get overlooked because attention goes to the machines instead.

Know The Warning Signs

Signs You Are Heading for a Violation

Out-of-service violations rarely come from a sudden failure. They come from small items nobody checked. These are the ones that catch fleets out most often.

Why On-Site

Inspection and Repair in One Visit

Most inspection providers hand you a failure list and send you elsewhere to fix it, which means a second visit and more downtime. We’re a full repair shop, so a failed item usually gets corrected on the spot.

Combining DOT inspection with your preventive maintenance schedule is the cleanest arrangement. One visit covers compliance and service together, and your trucks come out of it legal and maintained rather than merely legal.

Transparent Pricing

What DOT Inspection Costs Depend On

The inspection itself is straightforward to price. What varies is what we find, and being caught with it at the roadside costs a lot more. Inspection labor and any repair time both bill at our posted hourly rate.

Number of Units

Inspecting a fleet in one visit is cheaper per unit than one truck at a time. Scheduling the whole fleet together is the most economical approach by a clear margin.

Repairs Required

A truck that passes clean costs the inspection. One needing brake adjustment, lamps or air leak repair adds that work, though catching it here’s far cheaper than at a scale.

Truck vs Trailer

Trailers are generally quicker than power units. Fleets with multiple trailers per tractor usually find the combined cost lower than expected.

Combined With PM

Running the annual inspection alongside scheduled maintenance shares the travel and setup, and means one interruption to your operation instead of two.

Where We Do This Work

Mobile DOT Inspections Across Nevada

We inspect at your yard across the Las Vegas valley including Henderson, North Las Vegas, Summerlin, Enterprise and Boulder City, plus Pahrump.

Coverage extends to Reno, Carson City, Fallon and Yerington in the west, and Elko, Winnemucca, Battle Mountain and Tonopah in the interior. For fleets operating across several Nevada markets we can schedule inspections by location so no truck travels purely to be inspected. Inspections are one piece of it. Here is the rest of what we do.

Yes. That’s the whole point of the service. We inspect at your location anywhere in Nevada, so trucks aren’t out of production traveling to an inspection station and waiting in line.

In most cases, yes, on the same visit. Brakes, lighting, air system leaks and many suspension and coupling items get corrected on the spot. Larger repairs get quoted and scheduled, but you won’t be sent away with a list and no plan.

Yes. Trailers, lowboys and equipment transporters are all covered under the same annual inspection service.

Yes, and we recommend it. Scheduling the annual inspection alongside preventive maintenance means one visit, one interruption and one set of documentation covering both compliance and service history.

Budget roughly an hour per unit for a clean inspection, less for trailers. Units needing repair take longer, but having that work done on the spot still beats a second visit elsewhere.

You get told exactly what failed and why. In most cases we repair it during the same visit and the unit passes. Where a repair needs parts we don’t carry, we quote and schedule it, and the truck stays out of service until it’s legal.

Yes. You receive the completed inspection report for your files and the decal where applicable. Keeping that documentation organized is as important as the inspection itself when an auditor comes asking.
